The Stained Glass Was Not Illuminated

“The Stained Glass Was Not Illuminated” is an exploration of my journey within my childhood church, St. Patrick’s in Fredericksburg, VA. I grew up in this church; it was an integral part of my upbringing. I hadn’t voluntarily been there in a few years, aside from funerals and weddings. I didn’t want to paint a bad picture of it especially since I have been wrestling with my involvement in the church for a while, so I decided to take this journey and map my internal interactions in the space. This journey tracks 3 factors: +/- emotions, nostalgic feelings and sound. These things are paired with observations and feelings/comments along the timeline.
